How to use the Move & Hand tools in PhotoShop Print

This tutorial will show you how to use the move & hand tools in Photoshop

This tutorial assumes you already have your picture open in Photoshop

The move tool enables you to position the selected layer by dragging it with the mouse

1) Select the move tool from the toolbar


2) Click and drag the selected layer to the desired location in the image


Photoshop also has some auto-align tools to make positioning layers easier

3) While holding down the control key on your keyboard, select the layers you want to align


4) We will align the top edges


Notice that the white circle layer has been moved to line up with the top edge of the background

Now, we will learn how to use the hand tool, which is useful for panning an image that is too large to fit in the screen

5) Select the hand tool from the toolbar


6) Click and drag with the mouse to pan the image


7) You can also zoom to actual pixels, fit screen, or print size by clicking the relevant button


The image has been scaled down to fit inside the window
